While I was driving this morning, a song came on the radio and I couldn't help but to reflect on these lyrics:

These words ministered to my life. Sometimes we let the noise of this world interrupt every blessing God has given us. We allow the routines of life to cloud our minds from the very thing that God is doing. I started to focus on my blessings and was immediately filled with gratitude. Jesus has given me everything I need: a place to lie my head, food on the table, an amazing husband, children that LITERALLY have me running in circles, a job that helps provide our needs, supportive family and friends, a car, a church where I can worship freely, running water, electricity, a washer and dryer close to the bedrooms (can I get an AMEN?), I mean the list goes on...
This morning was an eye opener. I've been blessed beyond all measure!
Now, maybe there is someone out there who has lost a family member, received a frightful diagnosis, is having marital issues, only has $5 in the bank to last 2 weeks, is dealing with depression, feels lonely, lost a job, etc...Still count your blessings. The fact that you woke up today means there is still purpose for you on this earth. Like the song says, "You've been given a hope and a future...Surely every season you are good to me."
God is a good God and every season of this life has meaning. Our job is to praise Him through each season and remember the goodness only HE can provide. Count. Your. Blessings.
